Jian relaxes at home
1997. Jian Wang, an accomplished Chinese Chef arrives in Edinburgh.
1998. Jian establishes the Company and begins selling dumplings to Chinese supermarkets.
2003. Jian’s Dumplings launches into the mainstream market and is immediately rewarded with “Best New Product” awards at two major food exhibitions in Glasgow and Birmingham.
2004. The Company first supplies the luxury liners of the world-famous P & O Cruise Ships.
2006. Jian opens “Chop Chop” (www.chop-chop.co.uk), a north eastern style authentic Chinese restaurant in Edinburgh.
2008. The dumplings win “Best Meat Product (Retail)” award at the prestigious Scotland Food and Drink Excellence Awards.
Sainsbury’s launch the dumplings throughout their stores in Scotland.
Chop Chop is named Best Chinese Restaurant in Scotland and U.K. runner up in Tsingtao Legacy of Taste Competition out of 1,700 entries.
2009. The company ships out its first export order to a large hospitality company in Spain.
2009. Finalist on Gordon Ramsay’s F-Word Show.
2010. Jian opens her second Chop Chop restaurant in Leith, Edinburgh and the Company relocates to a larger factory in Loanhead, Edinburgh.
2010. Certificate of Excellence World Association for Chinese Cuisine.
2010 - 2015. Winner of AA-Rosette.
2014. Products launched in Aldi Scotland.
2014 & 2015. Finalist at The Food Awards Scotland.
2015. Chop Chop restaurant opens in Glasgow.
